Entr. Camera sweeps over different parts of Phoenix Drop (The guard tower, Ungrth's grave and the fields. Before focusing on a lone Shadow knight, Zane.
Zane: Hahahaheh, This place has changed. Ohhoho, how has it changed. Now, where would they be hiding my fragment?
Camera pans over a busy market, passing over Dante and to Zane hiding near by.
Zane: A guard. Heh, not something I want to deal with. I'll just have to kill him.
Random Woman: Hey you, guard.
Dante: Not again!
Random Man: Please tell me, when will Lady Irene be back?
Dante: Lady APHMAU, has gone a very personal mission, like I've told everyone else, It's unlikely she will return to the village soon. She might be a few more days.
Random Woman: We have waited a week.
Dante: So has everyone else visiting from far away places. I ask you to keep the peace in Phoenix Drop. It's already gotten hectic with faces I'm not familiar with. If you need something to but time, please feel free to visit the neighboring villages of Meteli or Bright Port.
Zane: Interesting, what was I thinking? The Shadow Knight form makes me impulsive. Have I forgotten how to manipulate people? I need more information.
Dante walks towards the market and Zane copies the clothes of a man who just walked by before leaving his hiding place.
Zane: This will have to do, for now. If that guard isn't too keen with the people visiting then I should blend in just fine. Fighting him here and now would be pointless. The last thing I want to do is draw attention to the Fragment until it's long gone from their grasps.
Switches to Zane's Point of view
Zane: I need to find out where the fragment is first. Excuse me kind sir.
Brenden: Ah, Hello! Welcome to Phenix Drop. My name is Brendan and if you haven't heard, I'm the Lord here. HAHAHAHA
Zane: You... Beg your pardon but I thought Phoenix Drop was under the lordship of Lady Aphmau as of now.
Brendan: That's, that's yeah. Darn it, I thought I could get away with it. Fine, fine. I'm not the Lord of Phoenix Drop but I am super cool regardless. Is there anything I can do for you buddy?
Zane: Why, yes. I'm looking for Lady Irene. I'm a devout follower of her and I wanted to meet her in person.
Brendan: Well, you're square out of luck pal. She's out but hey, there's a lot of shops here in Phoenix Drop. We've become a hotspot for traveling merchants since everyone flocks here to see Lady Aph...
Zane: Oh hoho. What a shame, I missed her. Well could I could learn more about her or maybe a cool place where she visits often that's special to her. Any place of importance, maybe?
Brendan: Unfortunately I can't think of any place. I mean I know a lot of places are special to her but maybe you should start out with... the Statue of Irene.
Zane: Do you know anything about her?
Brendan: I know a lot. For example, did you know I knew her before she was popular. That's right I was cool first.
Zane: *under his breath* This buffoon is useless. Thanks for the information. I'll just look around.
Brendan: Hey buddy, you look familiar somehow. Have we met before?
Zane: No, we haven't. Now please, I would like to get to..... shopping.
Brendan: Oki dokie, have fun buddy and if you need anything feel free to ask me.
Zane: I forgot how many idiots you have to go through to get the information you need. Now to find someone who looks like they have brains.
Zane moves farther into the market
Zane: hmm. Excuse me, forgive me for intruding on your time but I was wondering where I could find a special place Lady Irene loves to frequent and I...
Leona circles around Zane sniffing him
Zane: Ma'am
Leona: You smell like, burning.
Zane: I see well frankly I don't appreciate being sniffed.
Leona: I'm so sorry. My mom tells me it's rude but I can't help it. The sent just smells, interesting. How can I help you?
Zane: Never mind.
Zane starts to walk away
Leona: Wait, mister! I'm sorry.
Zane: I'm fine thanks.
Leona: Nice going, Leona.
Zane: I need to be careful of who I speak to, That werewolf could have blown my cover.
Dante walks by
Zane: That was close. Maybe I've been too formal with this. Heh.
Zane watches Kenmur walk into Donna's shop and follows him
Donna: Nope, sorry Kenmur. We just sold out this morning when that new wave of worshiper came into town.
Kenmur: Uh Man, I was gonna make my special fried noodle dish tonight for Emmy. She's been working so hard on this case so I wanted to surprise her.
Donna: Oh, Kenmur. You are too sweet even after three years. *sighs* I wish some OTHER people made me fried noodle after three years like you do.
Logan: Look woman, we're married with four kids you've had plenty of my noodles.
Donna: Ugh, Logan! That's marriage for you.
Kenmur: You're not mad at him?
Donna: Of course not. It is just a quirk Logan has that I adore about him. He's straight to the point that's what I look for in a man. That and a nice body.
Kenmur: Excuse me,
Donna: *laughing* Nothing to worry your pretty head about. Now, if you're looking for Gulrack noodles, I heard a new batch was shipped into Meteli. If you head out now you can make it there and back by dinner time.
Kenmur: Thanks Donna. Emmalyn really needs something to relax her and food is her favorite.
Donna: You sure know your way to a woman's heart. So how is her research goin'.
Kenmur: She's having a hard time finding out more in the fragment but she's making progress. If anyone is gonna figure out what it is it's gonna be her.
Donna: Well ain't you helpin' her?
Kenmur: Of course I am but Emmy's really onto something so I gave her some time. She just loves Lady Irene. I bet she could talk someone's ear off if I let her.
Donna: I hear ya. Well you should be heading of Kenmur or it'll be too late before you get back. Dante and Logan will make sure Emmy and her precious fragment are safe while you're gone.
Kenmur: Thanks Donna. See you later.
Donna: That boy,
Zane pops up from behind a shelf
Donna: Oh well, hello there sir how may I help you...
Zane leaves the shop
Donna: Must have been a window shopper.
Scene changes to a house. Kenmur walks into the house and Zane sneaks around the corner.
Switches to inside the house
Emmalyn: Pick me up a few books while you're at it.
Kenmur: I'm only going to Meteli for one thing Emmy.
Emmalyn: Please?!
Kenmur: Alright you just keep working okay?
Emmalyn: I will!
Kenmur leaves the house and Zane goes to the door and knocks.
Emmalyn: Hello, how may I help you?
Zane: I wanted to see if I could take a moment to talk to you about our lord and savior Lady Irene?
Emmalyn: You want to know more about Irene, from me?
Zane: Yes, like a pupil.
Emmalyn: This is a dream come true. No one else but Aphmau and her guards ask me about her, so please come in. This is wonderful! You're the first visiting villager that ever asked me about this kind of thing. Oh, where should I start...
The camera leaves the house and onto a stone path in the forest
Levin: Yo, Garroth. Where is mom?
Garroth: She's, she's busy dealing with the heart of darkness.
Levin: Huh, and how is that going?
Garroth: I honestly don't know but what she is doing is pure madness.
Levin: Huh?
Garroth: Nothing. Can I help you Levin?
Levin: I... Sorry Garroth, I didn't mean to bother you.
Rocco: Levin, we need to ask him.
Levin: No, they've something to deal with as well. We're just going to have to take this into our own hands.
Rocco: Right!
Levin and Rocco head into the forest
Garroth: Please be safe Lady Aphmau.
Scene switches to Aphmau, Zoey, Katelyn and Shad before switching to Aphmau's Perspective
Zoey: Are you absolutely certain you want to do this?
Aphmau: We've pulled Shad all the way out here. I've never been more certain.
Katelyn: Yes, but we can not leave you alone with him.
Aphmau: Katelyn,
Katelyn: Aphmau, please. If anything happens to you.
Aphmau: I have confidence in Zoey's barrier magics. I do not believe that Shad will have the power to attack me so long as he's in this barrier.
Zoey: Aphmau, I've never had to hold back something like this.
Aphmau: Zoey, I trust you.
Zoey: Mm, alright but Katelyn does have a point. Leaving you alone with him is potentially dangerous.
Aphmau: I want to get personal with Shad, or whatever this is. Therefore I need him to feel some trust in me. No talking behind bars, no holding back, I want to be on the same field as him, which means I need to be alone with him so he doesn't feel intimidated.
Katelyn: I, I understand completely.
Zoey: All right
Katelyn: We will be standing with Garroth just outside the forest. We won't be far. If we hear anything. We're running straight here
Aphmau: I understand
Zoey leaves and Katelyn starts to leave but stops
Aphmau: Don't worry.
Katelyn finally leaves
Shad: You know I heard everything you just said.
Aphmau: I know, I wanted you to.
Shad: So what did you expect from me? Sympathy, compassion, That's a first for you to consider.
Aphmau: Please, I need to ask you who are you?
Shad: You don't recognize me Irene.
Aphmau: No, I think I know who you are.
Shad: Then tell me, who do you think I am?
Aphmau: You're Shad or some part of him.
Shad: Hm, well. You aren't as heartless as I thought. I'm surprised you remembered that.
Aphmau: Please, I want to know more about you.
Shad: DON'T GIVE ME THAT TONE! The last person I want to hear that from is you.
Aphmau: I just want to learn more about who you are
Shad: So you did forget me.
Aphmau: Let me explain, I'm not Irene.
Shad: You have the audacity to look me in the face and tell me that. You look like Irene and you have her power. You will get no remorse from me. Even if we can transcend time. I have no plans to forgive you FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE!
Aphmau: What I've done?
Shad: You're not so clean of blood.
Aphmau: Shad, I truly don't remember. Please.
Shad: That day, you could have not forgotten that day.
Flashback to all the Divine Warriors
Irene: My dearest friends, the mantle you are about to take up is one of honor for some many years we have fought along side each other and now today I look to you not as my guards but as my fellow warriors.
Esmund: Irene you don't have to give us this power.
Shad: I agree. These relics, they seem to powerful to be true.
Irene: Shad, I can only hold back the emptiness for so long. I need others to help me and with my power, these relics will give you the power you need to help me.
Enki: But there's a downside to them?
Irene: Yes, as with every good thing there comes a cost.
Menphia: Which is?
Irene: Immortality
Kul'zak: Hm, That doesn't seem so bad.
Irene: Kul'zak, please do not speak lightly of immortality. The cost could be deeper than wounds you could ever heal.
Shad: So you're saying these relics will give us the power to hold back the emptiness that is threatening our realm. What does that make us?
Irene: Divine Warriors
Enki: Irene.
Esmund: Lady Irene, I'm willing to do anything to protect our realm.
Menphia: As am I.
Kul'zak: Me as well
Shad: I would have no other honor than to serve you.
Irene: Very well, these relics are incredible special. They are a part of you in more ways than you know. To you Esmund, I bestow upon you the relic of the protector. Menphia, a strong warrior, the Fury. Enki, the keeper. Kul'zak, the wander. Shad, I know that we may not have always greed. But I trust you with my life. To you, I bestow upon you the relic of the destroyer.
Shad: I don't understand
Irene: It's merely the nature of this relic. Where there is light there must be darkness or they will not be balanced. To you, I trust no one else with this task.
Shad: I will take this burden and make it my blessing.
Irene: I could count on no other. At some point in our lives, we will be tested and these relics will have a major part to play in the future.
Enki: These relics, Irene forged them against the fates. Our suffering to protect those we love has just begun.
Irene: My apologies, my friends this is for the greater good.
Shad: Irene, there is no need to apologias. We have accepted this burden and what ever comes wit it.
Back to present time
Shad: Had I known the true cost of the power, I would have rejected you completely, right then and there!
Aphmau: Shad,
Shad: I've had enough of you!
Aphmau: Shad!
Shad: You can not forget what you have done. I will not let you.
Shad fades away
Aphmau: What was he talking about?
Kenmur comes back to his house
Kenmur: Emmalyn, I have got you your favorite....
Kenmur finds an ransacked house and Dante
Kenmur: Dante?!
Dante: Kenmur, Emmalyn is missing.
The two talk while the camera pans away
