General

"I work for/formerly worked for CatFace/BluJay Studios and some information is wrong, or I would like to request information to be removed."
- Please make an account and contact Admin Higekiba. It's possible you may be asked to verify your identity. (The means may be as simple as requesting a DM on Twitter or other social media) This is only the case for significant information wherein trying to remove page content results in a rollback or undo from a mod. It is an entirely understandable request and we respect your privacy.
"I'm a former moderator/admin and my powers are gone!"
- That may have resulted in the adoption of this Wiki in October 2023. Contact Admin Higekiba for your powers back -- as long as you're interested in continuing contributions.
"Where's the Aphmau Community Discord?"
- The Aphmau Wiki and Aphmau Community Discord server no longer share active administrators, thus the Discord Server widget was removed from the Aphmau Wiki upon careful consideration after the 2023 adoption. The ACD still stands, it is just not associated with the Wiki anymore.

Swearing is not allowed in any part of the Aphmau Wiki, even censored. Please resort to more appropriate language to get your point across.
- Swearing at or using hurtful language directed at another user is not allowed. Slurs or offensive humor will not be tolerated.
The Aphmau Wiki follows American-English spelling. (ex. Color instead of Colour)
You must be able to communicate in a reasonably legible way. Frequent single-word responses, typing in all-uppercase, obscene typing quirks, and incoherent grammar are unacceptable ways to interact in the community.

Had your edit removed and don't know why? Enter its Talk page, usually on the drop down menu next to the edit button, labeled Talk.
Joke pages are not allowed, however, old joke pages will remain for nostalgia and archival sake.
The creation of new ship pages is not allowed, they must remain on one page. Old pages will remain for nostalgia and archive's sake.
No OC's or fan content: They should remain in Discussions, Blog posts, and User pages.
Regarding sexualities/LGBTQ, avoid labeling a character if that character does not explicitly go by that label, only use language that suggests and describes their sexuality based off of canon context.
Reference other pages to see if you're doing it right! Or ask the staff, or just allow them to help fix it after you. There are many unfinished and unpolished pages on the Aphmau Wiki that need your help!

Discrimination of any kind is not allowed. Deliberate targeted reporting of LGBT people or people of color is considered harassment and is against the rules. While religion is not an acceptable topic on the Aphmau Wiki, targeted reporting towards a religious individual is also considered harassment.
The topic of controversies regarding the series, staff, and companies must strictly contain credible sources following accusations, this may include testimonies from VA's and those directly involved in the company. Spreading rumors is not allowed and can be dangerous. These topics must be handled in a delicate and professional manner, hearsay is not allowed.
- The Aphmau Wiki is not an appropriate place to discuss controversies and drama.
Spamming article edits/redos and farming for achievement points on the leaderboard will result in a temporary revocation of the editing articles feature.

Do not edit another user's User page (unless requested or prompted by the main user).
Request an admin to lock your User page if you would like to prevent vandalism. We can only semi-lock a page to autoconfirmed users(has an account for 4+ days) or fully-lock a page to only administrators, which may bar you from editing your own page until you request an unlock.

Removing a Moderator's warning from your message wall will be considered refusing to heed the warning, resulting in a harsher punishment.
All community discussions rules apply to message walls. No sharing or asking for personal information, advertising, or harassment.

Sharing accounts is not allowed. "But my sister did it!" is an unacceptable excuse if any rules are broken.
Creating a new account in order to bypass a block will get your account and IP address blocked.
Usernames are not allowed to contain swears, slurs, or inappropriate content of any kind.

Be appropriate. The Aphmau community has many young fans, so try to be a good role model. Discussing dark topics and controversies is not allowed, as many members of the community here are very young.
Harassment is not tolerated. This includes towards Wiki staff and Aphmau/Catface Studio members.
Ban evading will result in a permanent IP ban.
Internet safety: Classic internet safety rules. Sharing personal information is forbidden, for everyone's safety. (Before sharing something about yourself, think, "What if someone who wants to hurt or bully me got ahold of this information?") This includes your name, address, phone number, school name, emails, and identifying pictures/selfies.
Fanart should remain in the discussion pages. About sensitive content, some blood and violence is okay, as long as it's adjacent to something you would see in the series. Gore and nude content is obviously not allowed.
Discussion posts should be under the correct category.
Necroposting: Avoid replying to discussion posts where the last reply is over 1 month old. These posts will be locked.
Advertising discord servers or links outside of Fandom is not allowed. Works of fanfiction are okay.
No stealing art or reposting someone else's art without credit. Link to the artist's original page if you'd like to share fanart. AI-generated art is not allowed and will be deleted.
Some moderation requires taking situations case-by-case.

You're encouraged to use blogs to create fan-pages for your Aphmau fan characters and fanmade-content!
