Asch is one of the protagonists in My Inner Demons.
Biography[]
Asch is the prince of Daemos and has ran away from his soon execution to help the magic crisis . Of his current assembly of knights, he brought them in, even sparing Noi and giving him the role when he would have otherwise been killed, and also sparing Leif when he was caught and would have been executed.
In The Prince's Desire, it is shown that Pierce, Leif, Rhys, and Noi are all trying to collect a human soul in their world of Daemos, where they fight over for who gets to give it to Asch. Where Pierce grabs the Soul, and Asch casts a ring of fire around Pierce, while everyone bows and Asch proceeds to check on them.
Said from Lady Grandma, that the magic throughout Daemos is fading, and that everyone in Daemos might soon lose their magic. Lady Grandma then has Noi hold her hand after Pierce not holding her hand because the Daemos had agreed that Noi was the weakest and therefore had to take on said task, while she makes the potion for Asch to use to lead them to the "new world" to find magic for Daemos. Asch then takes the potion from Lady Grandma, and casts it, which opens a portal to the new world. Asch and the others find out that the new world they are going to is Earth. (Pronounced "E - erf" by Asch and Lady Grandma when she first saw the world and made the letters that appeared readable) And Asch, followed by Pierce, Leif, Noi, and Rhys, go into the new world.
While stepping into onto Earth, the oxygen level for them is heavily dangerous (I.E. Noi and Asch's skin start to 'burn' from the sun, and Leif can hardly breathe and move, along with Rhys and Pierce having a hard time breathing as well) And Asch suffocates from the "lack" of air, and 'dies'. Where Ava just so happens to be throwing out her garbage, where she encounters the boys, and see's Asch on the ground. The daemos feel threatened by her, especially when she runs over and gives Asch CPR, reviving him — though the rest of the daemos think she’s “sucking his organs out.” Pierce recovers enough to pull Ava off of Asch, hanging her on a nearby tree branch by her hood.
Later, Asch and the gang head back to Ava because they needed a human prisoner according to Rhys, where he demands her to descend from the tree, where Ava begins to yell at Asch, and not understanding that they aren't roleplaying. Asch gets angry, and burns down the tree Ava is stuck on, letting her down. Ava is shocked by this and grabs Asch's horn to see if it is real, because of this Asch blushes, implying Daemos horns are erogenous. Ava realizes that Asch and his friends, are in fact real demons, and she passes out. Johnny, Ava's cat, then rubs up against Asch's leg and leads the gang to a place so they can take Ava and not be seen. The Daemos follow Johnny because they believe that he is a "Spirit" from Daemos. Then, Asch follows him, along with Leif, Noi, and Rhys, while Pierce carries Ava away.
Appearance[]
Asch has medium skin, black hair and eyes, and off-white, pale, pearly horns that grow from the front of his head, and curve upward. He also has a golden band around his left horn with assorted gems, and a symbolizing tattoo on his right shoulder.
Asch wears a black skintight top with a long sleeve on his left arm, along with a red cape that has white fur on the right shoulder and is hooked together by a silver clip on his left shoulder, and tight black pants. His belt is an orange sash with a red fabric under it. Asch also has a bejeweled golden arm band and bandages on his forearm.
In his human disguise, Asch wears a closed collared black leather jacket with pockets on the bottom and silver buttons, a black and red striped undershirt that goes a little under his belt, a black belt with a silver buckle, ripped black jeans and black and red shoes.
Personality[]
Asch's personality is demanding, rude, hot-headed and harsh. (i.e., when he demanded Ava to follow his instructions, getting angry when she doesn't do so.) He likes to do everything his way. Most of the time he acts tough and has an interest in intimidating people.
Asch does seem to somewhat have a soft side. While Ava was sick, Asch helped tend to her with the others, and while he stubbornly refused a thank you and reminded her of his mission, he responded frantically when she began coughing again. In the episode, "A Spa with Daemos", his light-hearted side shows through when Ava trips in the spell pool and he laughs, which is one of the only times he's seen genuinely happy.
Trivia[]
- Asch loves popcorn.
- In Asch's family, it is a common thing for the royal blood to have the same horns, and possible hair color and skin tone. (Lady Grandma's hair is white due to age)
- In canon concept art, Asch has a purple and gold color palette, and is shorter than Pierce, Rhys, and Bish.
- In the last episode (The End of Ava), Zex strikes one of Asch's nerves when revealing to Ava the reason why the Daemos came to Earth. Against everyone's shock, he apologized for his actions to Ava. This is completely unlike his before actions, in how he let his pride down.
- His favorite show is Socky the Sock Puppet.
- Asch and Leif are the only main MID cast who are while part of the SMP as other than MID rarely made an appearance on Aphmau's daily YouTube video only showing up twice
