Beatrice is a side character in Heart Point. She's a goth girl with strange magic powers.
Biography[]
Beatrice first appears when Aphmau is waiting at the fountain for Cyrus. She tells Aph that he likes her, and is amused when Aphmau seems to think that Vance didn't like her, and that she can never tell how boys feel about her, even when Cyrus interrupts with her exact complicated drink order and the cupcakes he knows she likes. Beatrice puts a sticker on her face, and then gives Aphmau the gift of insight through it.
She's seen again when Aphmau uses the gift's power to teleport out of her dorm and find Beatrice for answers. She tells her that she can't get rid of the spell she's already put on her- and that she likes her, and gave it to her as a gift for her to use to solve her problem. She also explains the rules of the 'game': that the hearts and stars above people's heads represent their feelings towards her, though she herself doesn't have anything above her head. After telling her that the only way to get rid of and win the game is to win someone's heart, she vanishes.
After this, she isn't seen until Aph accepts Ryo's invite to sneak out. Aphmau is confused to find that Beatrice and Ryo are friends, and even more so that Beatrice already knows about her date with Cyrus. Bea picks the lock to the campus pool so that they can sneak in, pleasantly surprised that there's no alarm system in place. She tells Aphmau about her and Ryo's plan to trespass across campus- east, to west,- and how they've already gone through thirteen of the sixteen off-limits buildings. Her and Ryo do a little fist-bump, making Aphmau realize how close they are and ask if they're an item. Beatrice laughs at her for it, almost offended that anyone could think she was dating Ryo, just because of how weird it would be. Not to mention, she's pretty sure she's out of his league. When Ryo jumps in the pool, she refuses to for the sake of her mascara, and gets agitated when he splashes her with water. Once the campus guard looks in and catches them, she vanishes, and leaves Aph and Ryo to fend for themselves.
She appears again when Ryo and Aphmau escape, interrupting a moment between them. She hands Ryo's clothes back to him, teasing him for how his mom has written his name on all the tags in permanent marker- and she'd rather not have him get caught and suspended because of it.
In "A PROMPOSAL?!" she again appears at the fountain when Aphmau sits down. Unlike Cassidy and Aphmau, she isn't there to mope- she's practicing her exasperated sighs for the school play, in which she's been cast as Eliza Hamilton. She offers some support to Cassidy when she's venting, but stops Aphmau once she starts to go on about being a 'prom dictator', but it's already too late- they've fired her up, and she runs off. Beatrice briefly asks Aph about how her and Ryo's relationship is going, but before she can reply, Ryo is spotted snooping in the distance. Bea tells Aph that she's got 'one of those important relationship conversations' to have, and vanishes again.
At the prom, she appears beside Nakano in the gym, and in their prom photos. She seems to hang out with them for the entire night. Nakano brings her a drink with one for themselves, offering to just drink both if she doesn't want one. She accepts, telling them briefly about a game she watched someone win (referring to Aphmau). They don't quite get it, and decline when Beatrice asks them if they want to play a game, too. When they tell her they just want to hang around 'in her general proximity' she smiles, and accepts.
Appearance[]
Beatrice has short black hair and pink eyes. She wears a short black dress with a melting pink heart over her school uniform, complete with white and pink stripes stockings and black shoes.
To the prom, she wears a black maxi dress with a slit down the left side, and black shoes.
Personality[]
Beatrice acts a bit aloof and seems bored most of the time, fitting a 'goth girl' archetype. She has a mischievous side to her, sneaking out and trespassing across the campus with Ryo, and even being the one to pick locks for them. She can also be quite goofy- especially around Ryo, and she enjoys acting, which may play a part in her usually bored demeanor.
