Cassidy is a minor character in Heart Point. She is known for being extremely popular and ambitious, being the captain of the track team, treasurer for the student body government, and the lead boardswoman of the Future Biomedical Engineers of America Association.
Biography[]
Cassidy is first seen in "He Confesses...?", where she announces to the entire track team that her and Vance will be running for prom queen and king. Despite her schedule being very busy with her being the treasurer for the student body government, the lead boardswoman of the Future Biomedical Engineers of America Association, and being on the track team, she's already decided it for the both of them. The news shocks even Vance, who had no idea.
She's later seen berating Vance over his grades, specifically a B- in public speaking. She mocks and belittles him, accusing him of being a delinquent over the grades. Though he tries to reason with her, she argues that despite all her business she still manages to get good grades and go over his college application merits. She then heads off and tells him not to forget about their biweekly, pre-planned lunch. He seems to have forgotten, and she's frustrated that he's seemingly not even using the planner she bought him, telling him she'll talk to her parents about getting him a personal assistant to organize his schedule for him.
While Aphmau breaks up with Cyrus, Cassidy and Vance talk at another table across the room. Cass says that they've been official for a while now (even though it's only been two weeks,) and that she's upset with Vance having talked to Aphmau, his ex-girlfriend, twenty minutes beforehand. She cites her leadership skills when asked how she knows so quickly when no one was even around. Cassidy goes on to belittle Aphmau, calling her a child, and demanding Vance focus on the future instead of what's over and done with, or their relationship might not work out. She explains she isn't breaking up with him though, because he needs to be her prom king. and she won't let him abandon all their plans. She becomes infuriated when he tells her he won't see her at all until prom, upset with him for breaking promises and plans he made with her. When she spots Aphmau eavesdropping, she expresses annoyance, and leaves.
Sometime between "BROKEN HEARTS EVERYWHERE!" and "FACE-OFF!", Vance officially breaks up with Cassidy. Aphmau finds her moping at the school fountain. She's frustrated- with both Vance's minimal communication, and that she no longer has a prom king. Aph reassures her with the fact that at least she actually gets to go to prom, but Cass is even unsure about that, since her whole schedule's been thrown off by Vance dumping her. When Beatrice appears, she gets annoyed that 'sticker nerds and theatre geeks' are stealing her moping spot, but stays regardless.
Aphmau hypes her up, telling her she doesn't need Vance to go since she probably already bought a dress.. Cassidy pretends to not care, insisting she's doing the student body a favor by not running, so another girl actually gets a chance to become prom queen. Thanks to Aph's unconditional support, she decides that she could and should be prom dictator. She thanks Aph and Beatrice for the support, and is more fired up than ever before! She refuses to let a 'dumb boy' ruin her plans, and runs off.
When Ryo and Aphmau arrive at the prom, Cassidy has already been crowned. She stands on the stage with a triumphant look, and takes prom photos like anyone else. She takes a few by herself, and only two with Vance- though in one, she covers his face and takes center stage.
Appearance[]
Cassidy sports her brown hair in two braids over her shoulder, and she has bright blue eyes. She wears an orange and blue varsity jacket with the school crest on it over her uniform, with a matching orange skirt and pair of shoes.
To the prom, she wears a long orange and blue strapless dress with a necklace and bright blue gloves.
Personality[]
Cassidy fulfills the "popular rich girl" stereotype, but she seems to.. slightly subvert it. Though she is quite mean, (especially to Aphmau and Vance,) she's also very ambitious and determined person. She makes plans and schedules for everything she does, and gets agitated when they're thrown off or cancelled. She also has a large ego, thinking she's the only person in the school who deserves the title of prom queen.
