Episode starts with Garroth working on the docks.
Garroth: Maybe, I should try to talk to her again…
Katelyn walks into Aphmau's house while Aphmau is sitting on the floor with Lilith.
Katelyn: H-hey... I, uh... Yeah... T-there’s... ahem... I... brought you some tea. It’s not the greatest but it was the best they had in Meteli. You know... it’s been a week. Aphmau... I know that... You and Lilith were very close with Aaron. I never realized how close. He was there for you when your own guard and friends were not. As your friend... I didn’t even notice the pain you were going through. Trying to lead an alliance. Build a village. Stop a war. Rescue refugees. Raise a child. Honestly, at times, I forgot you were human. Aaron, he... I don’t know how deep your relationship with Aaron was. And I don’t want to claim to know anything. Honestly, I’ve failed you as a friend in that regard, I think we all did. Aaron helped you where no one else saw. Which is why I don’t understand why he would even think to leave you like- I am so sorry. I don’t know what came over me there. Jeffory... He... when he died... I never really got over it. Jeffory meant a lot to me as a friend and he was special to me. I can’t claim to know how you felt about Aaron, but I know what it’s like to lose someone close to you. I’m not good at talking about this kind of thing either. Katelyn leaves out the door leaving Aphmau alone with Lilith. Aphmau continues crying while holding Aaron’s Bandana.
Aphmau: Crying. A-Aaron…
Scene switches to Katelyn walking toward that docks, then she walks away towards the village. Changes to third person view of Garroth, who is still working on the docks.
Flashback:
Scene is where the explosion happened.
Garroth: Aphmau, I know there’s nothing I can say, nothing I can do…
Aphmau faints to the ground, her face darkened, still clutching Aaron’s bandana.
Dante: Garroth! Garroth! What’s going on? What happened!?
Garroth: Dante, is that you?
Dante: Garroth! What are you doing here? Are you okay?
Garroth: N-no…
Dante: Aphmau! Aphmau! What happened to her?! I-Is she okay? Aphmau! Please!
Flashback ends.
Another Flashback begins:
Garroth is in front of Aphmau’s house and Dante walks out.
Garroth: How is she?
Dante: There hasn’t been much change since the memorial. Kawaii~Chan left some food for her, but she hasn’t touched anything. She spends all her time looking after Lilith. She hasn’t left her house for days. Even Levin and Malichi can’t seem to reach her. I’ve never seen her look so tired before. Are you sure you don’t want to see her?
Garroth: What would I say, Dante? I’m the reason this happened. How can I even face her?
Dante: You didn’t do this, Garroth! This isn’t your fault!
Garroth: It doesn’t feel that way, and where is Laurance? He of all people should be here at a time like this!
Dante: No one has seen him for days now. It’s strange he just disappeared, it isn’t like him.
Garroth: It’s certainly not the Laurance I remember.
Dante: No one has seen Vylad either, so maybe the two of them are out together?
Garroth: Vylad? I can’t believe he is still alive, it’s so strange, I was gone for barely a moment and so much has changed. It’s almost as if I have walked into another world. Levin is lord of Phoenix Drop now, Tu'la has invaded Ru'aun, and captured my own home. Aphmau adopted another baby. Huh, it’s good to know some things hardly change. Oh, and I almost forgot, one of the brother in arms took up the head guard of Phoenix Drop.
Dante: Haha! It’s a brave new world. Well, right now this job isn’t easy. I just need to get keep everyone busy and looking forward. We’re all a little shaken up, that was no small explosion, and who knows how many people saw it! Maybe even Tu’la! We’ve got to get everything in order. There’s no telling what could happen next.
Garroth: I just wish there was more I could do, with everything that’s happened I feel so useless!
Dante: I wish I could help you Garroth, you know that, but right now I’ve got my hands full. I need to get back to the guard station. I’ll talk to you later.
Dante begins to walk off.
Garroth: Hey, Dante, I was wondering…
Dante: Yeah? What is it? Something bothering you?
Garroth: Ah, no… It’s nothing.
Dante: Well, if you need anything, you know where to find me. I’m here for you, okay?
Garroth: Right, Huh? The docks? Hmm, maybe I can…
Flashback ends
Another one begins.
Scene switches to the night sky with a crescent moon. Garroth is standing on the docks
