Lucinda is a human turned mermaid, and a minor character turned antagonist in 'Mermaid Tales'.

Biography

According to a sorcerer who was a friend of hers, before the series takes place, she was a kind sorceress that stopped people from doing crimes. Not many people knew much about her, but she always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. When she met Ivan, they fell in love, and her crime fighting activities came to a stop. However, her influence was enough to keep crime down even after that, presumably because criminals just knew better by then. She was taken by Tavari one night, and though Ivan tried to fight him and even chased him back into the ocean, Lucinda was gone.

Tavari tried to transform her into a mermaid, but failed, and tainted her pure human magic in the process. It's also, presumably, what put her to sleep- where she stayed for an unknown amount of time, even throughout the series,- and made Tavari put her in the glass box she's in. For much of the series she's unconscious, sleeping in the secret chamber of Tavari's grotto.

Three months after Tavari's gruesome death, she is seen awake and fully transformed into a mermaid- and she plans to take over not only the ocean, but the world, with Zane at her side.

Appearance

She wears a dress with a light purple top, and a darker skirt. She also wears dark purple shoes.

As a mermaid, her shell bra is a very dark (almost black) purple. Her tail is a vibrant purple, and her fins are a golden yellow to complement it.

Personality

She's described to have been a kind sorceress as a human, fighting crime and the like. Very little else is known about what she was like, and it's said that no one knew her too well. As a mermaid, she's been turned wicked, and plans to take over the world.

Trivia

• She may be inspired by Ursula from The Little Mermaid.
• This is the second time Lucinda has been turned from good to evil, the first being when she was put under the influence of a forever potion in MyStreet: Emerald Secret.
  • Also, both main antagonists that turned her evil, Ein and Tavari, ended up getting mauled by predatory animals. For Ein, it was a pack of wolves, and for Tavari, it was a giant shark.
• She would've most likely played the main antagonist of Season Two if it wasn't scrapped.
