"Mermaids ARE REAL!" is the 14th episode (and first part of the finale,) of 'Mermaid Tales'. It premiered on September 15th, 2017.

Summary[]
Ivan inspects the two girls he found unconscious in the ocean, coming to the conclusion that they have to be mermaids. Seeing Katelyn's crown, he figures she must be the mermaid queen. He covers them up and starts to bring them back to shore.
Aphmau gushes over how good the food was, and the table is cleared. Travis makes a move, grabbing Aphmau's hand and asking if she wants the same thing he does. Amber, Garroth, and Aaron continue to snoop, but Garroth stops Amber before she can intervene. Aphmau misunderstands Travis' request, and asks for more food instead of the kiss he was hoping for. He's a bit flustered from the rejection, but takes it well and remarks she must really love seafood.
She asks what it is, and is horrified to hear that it's fish, sharks- anything from the sea. Alfredo butts in and tells her the grisly details of preparing a fish for cooking, causing her to throw up over the side of the ship. Amber briefly tends to her, noticing Travis has vomit stains on his clothes. Garroth takes him to change, and Amber follows him, leaving Aphmau alone with Aaron. Aaron hesitantly begins to hum for Aphmau to calm her down, but gets embarrassed when she falls asleep on his shoulder and shoves her off. Past him, she sees Ivan bringing Katelyn and Teony onto the docks. Aaron misunderstands and tries to explain that people die to her, but she runs off, forcing him to follow behind.
Ivan draws his sword on Aphmau when she nears, not wanting his proof of mermaids taken. Aph blurts that they're her friends, to which Ivan starts to ask how she's friends with mermaids. Aaron insists they aren't, and covers Aphmau's mouth when she nearly ruins his plan. Aaron distracts him, trying to convince him they aren't mermaids, until Amber and Travis come up from behind with their weapons drawn. Amber has him arrested by the guards, and they move Katelyn and Teony to Garroth's ship for safety.
Garroth seems very fidgety and keeps telling them they have to get off the boat. Amber threatens him, so they stay. Travis finds himself staring at Katelyn, noticing the tiara on her head as well- and that she's a princess. Aphmau immediately blurts that he should kiss her, since according to the story of the Clam Prince, she'll wake up. Amber corrects her that it's the Frog Prince, and the two girls start to wake up on their own. Aph, Katelyn, and Teony hug, frantically speaking to each other in mer-speak. During their reunion, Garroth starts to panic again, but he's interrupted by what he'd been trying to warn them about as the infamous pirate Redbeard shows up on his ship.
He says that Garroth told him the prince was there, and he came with his crew to kidnap him for a hefty ransom. A fight breaks out, but Amber and Travis are quickly restrained. Redbeard orders them to take the girls as well, and though Aaron tries to stop them, he's kicked down. Aphmau and Katelyn are grabbed, causing Teony to slap both of the pirates away with her tail- and accidentally revealing to everyone that her and Katelyn are mermaids.
