MyStreet is a Minecraft roleplay series on the Aphmau Gaming YouTube channel that spans over six seasons, taking place in a modern slice-of-life setting with fantasy elements.
Development[]
According to a post on Aphmau's Thumbnail, the series' plot was not determined at the launch, but much later on. Originally, Aaron and Aphmau to show at times, with the viewer having been thrown into the “The Big Move” prequel-arc already having the idea that Aaron and Aphmau’s relationship was well established before this series began.
As the MyStreet plot continued to flourish, a new prequel series, MyStreet Phoenix Drop High, was made to give a backstory of the MyStreet characters. The prequel heavily focused on Aphmau's journey through high school as she faced the reality of returning to public school and the environment. Accompanying Aphmau's high school year, the series also spotlights the beginning of her friendships, bittersweet rivalries and everyday tasks as a teenager. From there, the story shifts from her to the origins of meeting Aaron.
In chronological order, The Big Move comes into play as it follows Aphmau moving into a new home. As she packs her belongings, Katelyn and Kawaii~Chan accompany her as her roommates. While the moving began, Garroth and Laurance attempt to stop Aaron. It is most likely that she got the money for this by working at Freddy Fazbear's, referencing another roleplay series of hers.
One of the major inconsistencies is the Aphmau and Travis friendship. In "The New Guy", Aphmau and Travis are said to have not known each other, meeting for the first time in the episode. However, in a later episode "Her Best Friends", Travis remembers her and Aphmau knowing each other prior, attending the same high school and were good friends. In the prequel series, MyStreet Phoenix Drop High, Aphmau and Travis are confirmed to have gone to the same high school and were pretty close.
Another inconsistency is the references to Diaries early in the series. One example being when Garroth and Laurance are shown to have their Jury form and Shadow Knight form respectively during “The Big Move”. Zane also wore his priest robes from Diaries during that time. A flashback is also shown of Garroth and Zane as children playing in the snow in Diaries' O'Khasis. Other examples include Katelyn referring to herself as a Fire Fist which refers to her Jury Title, as well as possessing her fire-proof gauntlets, and Michi calling herself "evil", although she does deceive people and steal to get what she wants in MyStreet.
There are also callbacks to events from Side-Stories, which was treated as part of Minecraft Diaries, with Zoey making an appearance, Levin and Malachi being shown as children, Katelyn acting uninterested in sleepovers and the fall fair, and some characters being unfamiliar with modern technology. As the series progressed, there has been little to minor allusions towards Minecraft Diaries until it was confirmed in Season 6 that MyStreet is the sequel to Minecraft Diaries, taking place countless years in the distance future, with some of the MyStreet characters being either descendants (Travis), second lives (Aaron), or soul fragments (Aphmau) of their Minecraft Diaries counterparts. Some characters even make a return from Minecraft Diaries, being Emmalyn (referred to as Ghost), the Demon Warlock (referred to as Michael), Alina, Aphmau, and Shad.
The map used for the series can be seen here.

Minigames[]
Generally, minigames episodes have little to no impact on the overall plot of MyStreet, Minecraft Diaries, and MyStreet Phoenix Drop High and its vagueness has been discussed as to whether or not it is considered true canon. However, Aphmau has stated that some of the episodes do contain lore relating to its respective series. For example, Katelyn's and Jeffory's relationship and Vylad's transfer to Phoenix Drop High in MyStreet Phoenix Drop High. Evidence to the minigames being semi-canon is the discussion of current events occurring in the series. For example, Katelyn mentions her ongoing neighborhood play that corresponds to the overarching story arc in MyStreet. However, these minigame episodes have no mention nor has it even been hinted during the series. Some references of Aphmau's ongoing and previous series are made but usually taken as a joke. Minigames have a rotation when uploading. Usually it follows a 3-day cycle similarly to roleplay series, containing several of Aphmau's friends or characters from her roleplay series. Episodes are more frequent when a series is on hold or it just ended. Often, when the first episode is not complete, a minigame is uploaded in its place to give Aphmau and her group time to finish the episode. Once a new series/season premieres, minigames follow the previous cycle once again. Most of the regulars that appear are from the main cast, but Jeffory and Reese have appeared despite having minor roles. Characters like Cadenza and Lucinda will less likely appear due to their voice actor's schedule and timezone, while Nicole has made her debut, but having a minor role despite her voice actor (PrincessRizu) being present in many of the episodes to play as Katelyn. Starting in November 2016, the voice actors are playing as themselves whilst still wearing Minecraft Diaries/MyStreet character skins. On May 16th, 2017, Jason confirms that the minigames are semi-canon to their own timeline and respective series. For example, Aaron cannot play in any due to him attending college in MyStreet Phoenix Drop High and his current comatose state in MyStreet.[1]
Pixel Painters[]During the neighborhood play arc, Aphmau spawned a brand new series consisting of of the main characters of MyStreet. In the minigame, she and her friends draw pictures that correspond to the topic that is assigned.
Prop Hunt[]With Minecraft Diaries only releasing every three-days, Aphmau spawned in another mini-game series, PropHunt. In Prop Hunt, the players have the ability to mimic an object and camouflage with the area. Once there, the seekers have to find the hiders in order to win the game. In order for the hiders to win, they would need to stay hidden until the clock hits zero. After a round, the players switch groups and another round starts.
Build Battle[]The Build Battle minigame premiered a day after the MyStreet episode "Mr. & Mrs. Travis" premiered.
Hide and Seek[]The Hide and Seek Mini-Game premiered a day after the MyStreet episode "The Ro'Meave Brothers" premiered. It is the first mini-game series spawned from Minecraft Diaries. The series continued to the MyStreet series. The seeker is seen wearing their a costume of some sort and is released to find the remaining players. Once a player is found, the seeker then tags the player and the hider is transformed to match the seeker. For example, one of the episodes involved characters wearing their Minecraft Diaries outfits, but once tagged, they are then transformed into their infant form. They remain in that form until the round ends. In newer videos on Aphmau's channel, there are other forms that the player turns into other than their infant form. Some involve turning into cats or werewolves or dogs depending on the race of the character, while others could even be a taco on one occasion.
Fanfic Readings[]This lists includes videos that involves fan fictions from viewers and fans. These type of videos are relatively non canon to the main storyline.
Guess Who![]A new minigame premiered in mid-July. It is very similar to Prop Hunt and uses a mod where the players can transform into any skin they'd like (if there is an npc nearby that has said skin). They have even used variations of the game, like the Pokémon Go episode using the Pixelmon mod so the player could turn into Pokémon of their choice. In every variation, the hunters must find the "hiding" players until none are left or until the time runs out.
Guess Who[]Not to be confused with the above series of the same name. This minigame series premiered in March 2017 while Phoenix Drop High season 2 was airing. It is inspired by the real-life board game of the same name. While the original game is meant to be played with two people, this minigame series usually does it with two pairs. Some videos feature couples battling it out against each other. The game starts out with a large board in front of the players featuring the heads of many popular MyStreet characters with various facial expressions. Each player(s) starts off with a particular head, and the object of the game is to be the first to determine which head the opponent(s) has. Players alternate asking various yes or no questions to eliminate candidates, such as "Does your person have blonde hair?" The player(s) will then eliminate candidates based on the opponent's response by taking those heads off of the board in the form of slashing them down with a sword. Strategic questions have the ability of eliminating multiple candidates off of the board at once, so ask wisely...
Bubble Tag[]
Never Have I Ever[]A mini-game closely following the rules of the real life drinking game, in which one player asks a Never Have I Ever question, and if the others players (or the asker themselves) has performed that action in their lifetime, they may not step forward. First player to the top wins. Answers and responses featured in this mini game would tent to be a mixture of the character’s and Voice Actors’ own experiences.
Murder[]With the new year, a bloody minigame spawned. This time taking inspirations from the game GMod Murder. The game begins with a cop, a murderer, and two innocents. The cop has to figure out and kill the murderer before they kill the other players. TBA

Trivia[]
- In the 2nd episode of Pixel Painters, it was revealed that Kawaii~Chan is the costume designer of the play.
- In the 3rd episode of Pixel Painters, Zane reveals that when they were younger, his siblings and himself dressed up as knights.
- It also reveals that Zane is blind in one eye.
- Magicks still exists in the MyStreet universe. This is proven early on when Kawaii~Chan feeds Reese a magic cookie, causing him to fall asleep. Additionally by Aphmau being transformed into a cat temporarily, and Lucinda’s mere existence as a sorceress.
- Meif'wa and Werewolves are part of the norm in the universe, however, they seem to be less frequent. Werewolves appear less, whilst Meif'wa are more known.
- However, there are many more named Werewolf characters throughout the storyline of MyStreet than Meifwa ones. The only named Meifwa in the series are Kawaii~Chan, Michi, Kai, and Nekoette, however there are many Werewolves, for example Aaron, Melissa, Rachel Derek, Ein, Zack, Dottie, Daniel, Rylan, Maria, Blaze, Balto, etc.
- All the characters suggest that they attended the same high school. This is proven true in the prequel series MyStreet Phoenix Drop High.
- According to Pixel Painters, Aphmau often eats too many sweets causing her to have a sugar high.
- It is revealed that Aphmau's and Zane's favorite sweets are cupcakes, Garroth's favorite sweets is a chocolate ice cream sundae with toppings and Laurance's favorite sweet is toasted marshmallows (like marshmallows in s'mores).
- MyStreet uses more machinima than Minecraft Diaries. There has been a handful of episodes that are fully done by machinima, which is why episodes took longer to produce and publish. Things took even longer to produce in Season 6 when animation was used frequently.
- According to the 6th episode of Prop Hunt, Katelyn met Vylad while she was in the basement and saw him flexing his muscles and thought he was a troll, to which she retaliated by punching him.
- In the minigame episode "Shipping Travis and Katelyn", Travis' room is finally shown. It approximately took four months since his debut to finally see his entire room full view, as only his front door is seen.
- In the Fan Fic episode "Sparkles Abs and Cupcakes", at 9:45, KamiWasa is seen to have left the server notified by a message in chat. KamiWasa is a close friend of Aphmau who did renders and animations for her. He was also responisble for the change of skins among characters in fan fiction readings, though he is never shown on screen in such episodes.
- MyStreet was originally intended to be a crossover spinoff of previous roleplays (mainly Minecraft Diaries), but as the series progressed, it started developing its own plot and began to introduce characters original to the series.
- Additionally, Garroth had his Jury of Nine skin, Laurance had his Shadow Knight skin, and Katelyn had her gauntlets shown early on in MyStreet, but all of those were later retconned.
