"The Emerald Secret"

"Happy Memories"

The episode begins with the wolf pack from the last episode slamming the doors open after a moment. They start scouring the place, looking around. The green-eyed woman leading the pack walks in and looks around herself. Meanwhile in the garage, Aaron picks up the lone emerald he finds on the floor and looks at it. While Kim and Lucinda are tending to Garroth, a crashing sound is heard from the garage.

Aaron: What was that?

Lucinda: It sounds like someone kicked through the door.

Kim: Eeek! It’s the murderer coming to get us!

Garroth: Sh, Kim, calm down!

Aaron: I'm gonna go check it out.

Garroth: Right behind you.

Lucinda: Same.

Kim: Are you guys crazy? That's what he wants!

Aaron, Lucinda and Garroth exit the garage, leaving Kim standing alone.

Kim: Wait for me!

Kim immediately runs after the three. It cuts to the lobby of the Lodge. Aaron, Garroth, Kim and Lucinda are hiding behind the boxes stacked up in piles observing the wolves and the woman leading them.

Lucinda: Oh my Irene! Those are wolves!

Garroth: Should we shoo them away?

Aaron: That is not a good idea.

Lucinda: Those wolves look like they could tear us apart.

Kim: We're dead!

Aaron and Garroth immediately swivel around and shush Kim.

Aaron: Calm down, keep quiet! Lets just hope they don't pick up on our scent.

They continue to observe the wolves as they continue sniffing around and patrolling the first floor. One of the wolves start investigating around the group’s luggage and the other wolf joins them.

Garroth: Achoo!

The wolves turn towards the noise, now growling.

Kim: We're so dead! We're so dead! We're so dead! We're so dead! We're so dead!

The wolves start to cautiously approach the area where the group hides, but the green-eyed woman beckons them back to her. The wolves leave, the green-eyed woman following after looking back for one last time. Once the woman and the wolves leave, everyone breathes a collective sigh of relief.

Lucinda: That was way too close.

Aaron: Tell me about it.

Garroth: I'm so sorry. I almost turned us into dog food. Uh, Kim?

Kim slowly turns around towards the group with a look of sheer terror displayed on her face.

Garroth: Kim?

Garroth goes to where Kim is while Aaron and Lucinda are left staring at each other.

Kim: We could've...died!?

With that, Kim passes out onto the floor.

Garroth: Kim. Kim!

Aaron: I think...we all need a moment to recollect ourselves after that.

Lucinda: Right. Let's close the door.

Garroth: Kim? Kim!

As Garroth tends to Kim, it cuts to the forest outside as the theme tune and the series logo appears and disappears again. It then cuts back to the main street, where Aphmau is pacing around her living room in a panic with Zane trying to calm her.

Aphmau: Oh this is so bad! This is so bad! This is so bad!

Zane: Calm down Aphmau, I'm sure everyone will be fine.

Aphmau: No! What if Aaron gets hurt? I won't be there to help him feel better or worse off, what if he explodes?

Aphmau gasps.

Aphmau: Not only that, but I purposely sent Lucinda there so what if she gets hurt?

Zane: Aph, look at me. They. Are. Fine!

Aphmau growls.

Aphmau: Zane! Please think for a moment! How would you feel if Garroth, you older brother, was in trouble?

Zane: Hmm…

It cuts to a scene which Zane imagines. Garroth strolls up to the boiler whilst humming to himself. Garroth them speaks, with a voice exaggerating his stupidity.

Garroth: My name is Garroth and I'm a big stupidhead! Now, lets see what temperature do I want to set the boiler to. Ah, explosion sounds great!

Garroth fiddles with the boiler which causes it to explode. While Garroth is burning in a pool of lava where the boiler was, Zane comes up behind him and looks down on him.

Garroth: Ah, the boiler exploded! I'm burning! Zane! Brother! Help me!

Zane proceeds to manically laugh at his brother. It soon cuts back to reality, where Zane is still manically laughing, much to Aphmau’s annoyance. She punches him to get him to stop laughing.

Zane: What?

Aphmau grunts in frustration.

Zane: Alright! Alright! As funny as I think that would be, I am kinda worried about him.

Aphmau: See? Zane, I need to get to the lodge!

Zane: What do you want me to do about it?

Aphmau starts pretending to cry.

Aphmau: Zane... help me! Please?

Zane growls.

Zane: Fine!

Aphmau: Yay!

Zane pulls out the spare sweater once again.

Zane: But only if you wear this jacket! I don't support you getting sick because you didn't wear something warm!

Aphmau: Ugh fine! Deal! Now, lets pack. But uh. Uh Oh.

Zane: What?

Aphmau: We're going to have to find a way there. I don't even know where to begin with that!

Zane: Hmm. I think I have an idea. I'll make a few calls.

Aphmau: Thank you so much Zane!

Zane: Yeah, yeah whatever. By the way, I'm doing this for you! Not Garroth! Don't get the wrong idea.

Aphmau: Whatever you say.

Zane walks into the dining room and pulls out his phone while Aphmau walks upstairs to finish packing. Back at the Lodge, Garroth, Lucinda and Aaron are still checking up on Kim, who they’ve moved to one of the sofas.

Lucinda: How's Kim doing?

Garroth: I…uh...think she's fine? I've been poking her to see if she wakes up.

Lucinda: What's that gonna do?

Garroth: Wake her up. I don't know! Why are you yelling at me?

Lucinda: I'm just-! Sorry, I'm just... kinda shaken up after the whole wolf thing. Aaron, are you sure the doors are locked?

Aaron: I…I’ll check again.

Aaron walks towards the front door to check them. Lucinda follows him.

Garroth: Kim, wake up! Oh Kim! Kim! Kim! Kim! Kimmy Kim!

Aaron checks the doors. They don’t budge.

Aaron: The doors are locked tight.

Lucinda: Well, that's good.

Garroth: Guys! I think she's coming to!

Lucinda and Aaron immediately head back to the sofa. Kim stirs awake, sitting upright.

Kim: What happened?

Lucinda: Wolves.

Kim: Gah! I forgot!

Garroth: Oh Kim, don't worry! It's perfectly fine! The doors are shut sound and we're safe!

There is a moment of silence.

Kim: Is that true, Lucinda?

Garroth: Hey!

Kim: I'm sorry, Garroth. But, Lucinda seems to know what she's dealing with.

Aaron clears his throat.

Kim: Oh! And you too, Aaron! It's just, well, Lucinda, you seem to know a lot about weird otherworldly stuff.

Lucinda: Well, you're not wrong. I do know a lot. And from what I know, we're perfectly fine!

Kim: Really!?

Lucinda: Really! I'm sure one of us just left the door open.

Kim: Phew! That's a relief to hear!

Garroth: Yeah. Ooh! I was going to say.

Garroth walks to the fireplace.

Garroth: This is a huge fireplace! Maybe we should try to turn it on.

Kim: I can help! Let's look for a switch.

Kim gets up off the sofa and joins Garroth in looking around the fireplace for a switch. Meanwhile, Aaron and Lucinda both walk away from the fireplace to talk in private with each other.

Aaron: Lucinda, are you sure about what you said?

Lucinda: No, I'm not.

Aaron: Then what was that about?

Lucinda: Look. Aaron, Kim seems to be the really jumpy type. I didn't want to scare her more than she needed to be. Besides, I’m...I'm not really sure what we're dealing with.

Aaron: What do you mean?

Lucinda: Think about it. Those wolves seemed a little more intelligent than your average wolf. They were way too coordinated. What's even more interesting is that there was a human with them.

Aaron: Yeah, now that you mention it, that was odd.

Lucinda: I think...that we're dealing with a pack of werewolves.

Aaron: But werewolves don't act like that. Travelling in packs, that's something their ancestors did. Werewolves of today don't do that.

Lucinda: Yeah, but we don't know what we're dealing with here, Aaron.

Soon, Garroth comes across the switch to the fireplace. He flicks it on, causing the flames of the fireplace to roar to life.

Garroth: I did it!

Kim: Yay!

Lucinda: All I'm saying is that we should take extra precautions. Such as not going out alone or, even boarding up the windows.

Aaron: I definitely agree.

Kim: Alright guys! I think we should clean up this place!

Garroth: Wow, talk about a mood change.

Kim giggles.

Kim: Well, this place isn't spooky anymore with the lights on. Plus, Lucinda just cleared my mind!

Lucinda: I'm glad! But, let's at least make sure that broken windows are boarded and this place is locked tight! I want to make sure we're hundred percent safe.

Kim: I agree! Ooh! How about on our first night here, we have a sleepover right her in front of the fireplace? That way no one is lonely and scared of the dark.

Kim laughs.

Garroth: I'm in! I love sleepovers!

Lucinda: Sounds like a plan! Let's get to work.

With that, everyone starts scattering and cleaning up the lobby. Back at the main street, Aphmau and Zane arrive at the house of the Ro’meaves. Aphmau is now also wearing an identical sweater to Zane’s one, as per their agreement.

Aphmau: Zane, are you sure this is going to work?

Zane: I told you, I already talked to my mom, so it's fine.

Zane rings the doorbell and his father, Garte, answers the door. He looks over to Aphmau.

Garte: Zane? What happened? You look... pretty.

Zane: Ahem! Dad! I'm over here!

Garte looks over to where Zane is.

Garte: Huh? Zane? Why does Aphmau have your jacket on?

Aphmau: Zane's acting like my mom and making me wear it.

Zane: It's for your own good.

Garte: Anyway, Good to see ya son! What brings you by?

Zane: Mom says she's going to let me borrow one of the cars.

Garte: Oh really now? Mind if I ask what for?

Zane: We wanna go up to the property you guys just bought.

Garte: What?

It cuts to a scene which Garte imagines. In his imagination, Zane waltzes up to the Lodge.

Zane: (exaggerated) My name is Zane and I'm going to go into this house.

Once Zane enters, a breaking sound is heard and the whole Lodge goes up in flames. It cuts back to reality.

Garte: Uh Zane? Why don't you do something more productive with your time? Garts’ got this all under control.

Zane: Really? You don't know much about Garroth, do you Dad?

Garte: Garroth's a smart, strong man. I'm sure he can get the job done!

Zane: Uh huh. So anyway, is mom here?

Zianna soon walks outside.

Zianna: Oh Zuzu! I'm so glad to see you!

Zianna goes up to Aphmau and hugs her, mistaking her for Zane.

Zianna: Wow Zuzu! You look so cute today!

Zane: Mom! I'm over here!

Zianna: Oh, this is...Aphmau! Oh Zuzu! You gave her your jacket! You guys are totes twinsies!

Zane: Yeah, yeah whatever she's super cute. Now mom, are you going to lend us the car?

Zianna: Absolutely! I'm so happy you're going up to the property with your brother, Zane! That will make some wonderful brotherly bonding time!

Garte: Zianna! I told you Zane will destroy the place!

Zianna: And I told you he's a a little birdie who needs to spread his wings.

Garte: He. Will. Destroy. The. Place!

Zianna: You give our son this or I will destroy you!

Garte scoffs.

Zianna: Alright! Here are the keys! The car is over here in the garage. Follow me!

Garte: I swear, we're doomed.

Garte walks back into the house while Zianna guides Zane and Aphmau to the car in the garage. She hands Zane the keys.

Zianna: Here you go! One car to get you to the lodge! Now be sure to keep each other warm and safe! I love you both!

Zane: Heh. Thanks, mom.

Aphmau: Thanks, Mrs Ro’Meave.

Zianna: Your very welcome! Tell everyone I said hello!

With that, Zane and Aphmau enter the car and start driving off. Back at the Lodge, it is now night. Everyone has changed into their pyjamas and is gathered around the fireplace.

Kim: This is going to be so cool!

Lucinda: You enjoy sleepovers?

Kim: No, this is my first one.

Lucinda: Really? Wow, well, maybe we'll have a more proper one when we actually get internet.

Garroth: Internet! I almost forgot about that!

Aaron: Yeah we need to get that on soon.

A wolf’s howl is heard in the distance.

Kim: Eep! Those wolves kinda scare me.

Lucinda: Don't worry about it, Kim

Kim: Uh h-hey! Maybe we should have cuddle buddies!

Lucinda: Cuddle buddies?

Kim: S-So we aren't lonely! Plus the wolves can't eat us both.

Lucinda laughs.

Lucinda: Kim, it's fine! The wolves won't get you.

Garroth: Aww I'll be your cuddle buddy, Kim!

Kim: Uh…

It cuts to a little later in the evening. Kim and Lucinda are sleeping next to each other, and the two are fast asleep. Aaron and Garroth are wide awake.

Garroth: Aaron, come on! Be my cuddle buddy!

Aaron: No.

Garroth: Aw, but Lucinda and Kim are!

Aaron: No.

Garroth: But-

Aaron: No!

Garroth: Is this because I snore when I sleep?

Aaron: Ugh, gah! I forgot about that!

With that, the episode ends as it cuts to an outside view of the Lodge at night.
