Zack is Sylvanna's ex-fiancé and the estranged father of Aphmau. He was also the former caretaker of Ein. He's the former antagonist in Starlight and When Angels Fall.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
While a teenager, he began a relationship with Sylvanna.[Citation Needed] However, due to an ambitious expectations and a desire for greater opportunities, their relationship became strained.[Citation Needed]
Zack became a doctor that incorporates witchcraft into his treatment, alongside Elizabeth, and he met Derek, Garte, and Michael. The five of them would become close friends until Michael proposed an opportunity to make the world a better place. His dealings eventually got him involved with Derek and Garte in doing business. They purchased a lodge in the mountains as a space to work in private. By Michael's instigations, the group soon began the production of forever potions - a type of magic that was deemed as illegal practices by the magic council. Once some of the potions were complete, the group tested them on their children for prototype purposes.[1]
Zack lost interest in his family and began an emotional affair with another woman where he became some sort of step-father to Ein.[2] He began to frequently belittle and ignore Sylvanna, although she tried to stay in the relationship for the sake of their daughter.[3]
One night, Sylvanna got a call from the woman, who explained the affair and even provided evidence. Sylvanna confronted Zack and told him to leave without letting him explain. Hearing the commotion, Aphmau, still only a young child, came down and asked where he was going. Being still too young to fully understand what was happening, Zack took her to her bedroom and tucked her back in bed. Holding a forever potion in his hand, which Michael told him to give to her, Zack contemplated applying the potion, but he ended up leaving without giving it to her.[3]
In a meeting about the potions, Elizabeth told the group that Zack had to pull his daughter from the experimental roster. Derek was surprised that the experiments were still being performed, to which Terry pointed out that it never stopped. Zack then informs the group that he and Sylvanna decided to go their separate ways, and she succeeded in removing all custody from him. Meaning that he wouldn’t be able to see Aphmau again. Elizabeth points out that he was still cheating on her with the other woman, but Zack doesn't see this as a reason for Sylvanna to take his rights to his daughter away. Derek angrily told Zack that she had every right to, and if she knew what sorts of experiments he was subjecting Aphmau to, he would be in jail. Elizabeth calls Derek out for being just as guilty for not trying to stop them. Since Aphmau was no longer available as a test subject, Michael requested for Aaron to be experimented on. When Derek refused, Garte and Zack left the room for Elizabeth to handle the situation.
Eventually, when Garte confronted Michael about the forever potions they were selling being used to kill people and that they needed to stop, Zack sided with Michael and Elizabeth in an attempt to banish Garte to Michael's realm. However, he, along with Michael and Elizabeth, were sent to Michael's realm.
Phoenix Drop High Period[]
Approximately 10-13 years later, Michael, Elizabeth, and Zack finally escaped back into their realm. One of the first things he did was call Sylvanna to see Aphmau again, but Sylvanna demanded him to stop calling as she claimed Aphmau wouldn't remember him and he doesn't deserve to see her. Aphmau witnessed the phone call, but Sylvanna shut down any of her questions and sent her back to her bedroom. Sylvanna decided to change phone numbers for safety.[4]
Once he found the right number again, he called Sylvanna repeatedly again for the same reason, but Sylvanna doesn't care since he isn't here to raise her. Zack tries to tell her something, but Sylvanna talks back and tells him that he doesn't get the benefit of having her whenever it suits his needs and that she's more than just a trophy. She hangs up and comments that she needs to change the house phone number again. Aphmau again asks who she was taking to, but Sylvanna makes up another quick lie and says that she was talking to Mr. Ketchup.[5]
Events between Phoenix Drop High & MyStreet: Starlight[]
Zack and his compatriots eventually gained favorability in certain circles, gaining enough support to fund endeavors that made them wealthier than they were and gain access to the guardian forces.
After the fight between Ein and Aaron, Michael, Zack and Elizabeth recovered the "boy who could make forever potions" and that he was now on the island with them.
Using the excuse of a rumor that the Ultima was in Starlight Wonderland, Zack made covert connections to set up a base of operations and eventual access to other locations across the archipelago. This connection later led Zack to be contacted by the Wolfwears(Lycans under a psenonym) and to treat their elderst son who was in therapy.
MyStreet: Starlight (Season 5)[]
As Aaron was completing his therapy sessions, Derek came to thank the therapist who was assisting in the recovery of his son. When Derek recognized Zack, the latter smugly greeted his former teammate, both accosting him for their betrayal and the greeting of seeing him again. When Derek threatened to expose Zack, Zack sharply cuts him off saying that Derek wouldn't because if he did Zack would get Aaron involved. As Zack walked out the door he further showed his power over Derek by telling him he couldn't wait for the wedding, and they would all be a big happy family together.
In a private conversation with Rachel, Derek explained the circumstance that led to them as they are, as he had kept some information from her. Derek later talked to Garte about finding Zack in a phone call.
Zack is called by Elizabeth to let him know that Elizabeth will be landing at Starlight soon. Zack tells her that Derek is on the island with her son and that Aaron is dating his daughter, Aphmau. When she brings up Zack's affair Zack tells her that's none of her business and that her ex is on the island as well. Getting back to business Elizabeth and Zack talk for a bit about Michael coming to Starlight. Before Elizabeth hangs up Zack lets her know that her daughter is on the island to which Elizabeth replies that maybe when the time is right she'll pay her a visit.
Meeting up with Elizabeth again, Elizabeth explaines that Michael couldn't come and Ein was put in one of the warehouses, Zack revealed his werewolf nature and explained to Elizabeth that neither he nor Sylvanna told Aphmau about his heritage. He himself was disappointed that she didn't inherit his werewolf genes, making her a pure human. Nevertheless, Elizabeth was very intrigued by the circumstances with Derek, Aaron, and Zack's daughter are at starlight. She hints that she and Michael have several plans in mind, and if they succeeded with their ultimate goal, they'll have everything they ever wanted.
Derek eventually confronts Zack, telling him to leave his family alone since Zack being on the island was no coincidence. Zack told Derek that he dug his own grave when he stole all of the money and fame that he had when the two used to sell Forever Potions. Derek points out that everyone who bought the potions were using them to do horrible things. Zack blames Rachel for softening Derek's heart and causing him to realize the error of his ways. Derek mentions that she made him stronger. Zack then tells Derek that he "hopes" the strength she gave him will help him go through hiding in a cave for the rest of his life and throws him a newspaper article, revealing that the public now knows that the Lycan family is linked to the Ultima (and that the market was still selling), all to Derek's horror.
Zack and the group eventually regroup and begin preparations for the subsequent push into the Starlight Archipelago.
MyStreet: When Angels Fall (Season 6)[]
Zack then appeared at the Guardian Forces headquarters, where he speaks to their leader, confirmed to be Michael, about an upcoming plan and that the 'boy', revealed to be Ein, is on the island, looking about. When Derek turned himself in, Zack argued with him and revealed to Derek that his pointless sacrifice helped them discover the Lycan Resistance hideout.
Once Aphmau was dead, Zack started losing his allegiance to Michael and confronted him in a fit of rage. He was never told that the plan involved his daughter being killed. Michael simply explains that Zack was so willing to put Ein in harm's way and assumed he felt the same for his daughter, to which Zack said that they weren't the same. He then asks Zack why he favored one child over the other, he explains that Ein was a monster and that Michael only liked him because he enjoyed watching Ein cause suffering to others. Michael states that he did desire to kill Ein himself for his arrogance, but he was still willing to serve him. To Michael, Ein was a pawn, just like Aphmau. As Zack reminds Michael that Aphmau didn't deserve to die, Michael warns Zack to never question his choices again or he will have no choice but to subdue him.
Zack then heads to the corridors where Derek was being held. He told Zack that he heard what he did to his own daughter and was disgusted. Zack claims that it wasn't his decision, yet Derek claims that he just stood there and let it happen. Zack goes on to say that she had nothing to do with him as Derek claims that he was her father. She needed him. She had a life and future. He blamed Zack for it being out of his hands and warns him that Michael would lead him into a hopeless hellhole once he gets what he wants. Zack doesn't care, still believing that he'll get everything he ever wanted and would be set for life without needing to lift another finger. Derek tells him that no one will be there for him to share his "fantastic future" with, but Zack doesn't care. Derek questions what happened to Zack, with him claiming that he realized that he wanted more than family, for loved ones just got in the way. Derek tells him that Aphmau wanted to find him. She knew he walked away, but still wanted him there for her big day, claiming Zack had no idea what he'd done. Zack tells Derek that it was just so easy for him to say that. He reminds Zack that he took all the wealth after locking him, Elizabeth, and Michael away, yet ended up in this very cell defeated while all his efforts to protect Aaron were about to be in vain because of him alone. Derek begged Zack not to do this, begging for Michael to take him instead. He reminded him that Aaron and Aphmau were going to get married and that he made her happy, with finally got Zack to listen as he back away in shock. His expression then went back to anger as he apologized for what was to come before leaving.
As Aaron is brought to the prototype, Michael tests Zack’s allegiance by having him push the button to turn Aaron into a relic, warning him what will happen if he didn't. However, Zack hesitated, which caused Michael to question him. He became more hesitant as Derek and Rowan told him not to do it. Michael roared at Zack to push the button, growing impatient, but his hand was still above the button. Having enough, Michael pushes Zack out of the way and pushes the button himself. However, Irene herself shielded Aaron, giving Derek enough time to escape the guards and push Aaron out of the way, causing himself to turn into a relic instead.
Even after learning that Aphmau was brought back to life, he hesitated to see her again. After activating the cannon in order to destroy Michael, he ended up staying in the Celestial Cannon as it fell into the ocean while everyone else escaped. He was saved by Elizabeth via her teleporting him to her and he ended up swearing. Elizabeth told him to not treat the person who save his life that way and that if he really wanted to drown in the ruins, she could just send him back. Zack asked her how she know, to which she said that a lot happened on her end while Zack was with Michael. As he saw Garte unconscious, Elizabeth told Zack that she’s taking Garte with her to make him pay for everything he did to her and that his family won’t remember him if he ever escapes. However, she doesn't plan to go after anyone else. She also calls Michael an idiot for causing years of planning to be ruined. Zack declares to be done with the plan, wanting to go back to his family and try to make things right. She questions if that was his plan since there wasn't that much time left in their world. Zack tells her that they should've never trusted Michael. He only wanted to regain his power and was going to kill them instead of giving them what he promised. Elizabeth still believes in his realm theory though. Before she leaves with Garte, Zack thanks Elizabeth for saving him and tells her she should see Katelyn before it's too late.
Zack begins to leave but is stopped by Elizabeth calling after him to ask where Derek is.
Appearance[]
He has black hair, dark brown eyes and tanned skin. His ears and tail are dark gray, with his ears having white innards. He wears colors we seem to see every day but makes them subtle and more of a dark color of itself.
Personality[]
While a very dangerous man. Zack truly cares about his daughter Aphmau, as he donated money to Sylvanna, which she never asked for. Zack seems to not show his love to his daughter much, although he loves her more than Ein. Also, like Ein, Zack is also something some people like to call a manipulator. However, he slowly starts to be a better person later in the season.

Trivia[]
- It is possible that he escaped his imprisonment even before Aphmau went to high school. This is hinted by Sylvanna refusing to let someone meet Aphmau when talking to them on the phone, not to mention Sylvanna lying to Aphmau about who it was and sending her to her room when she started to ask questions.
- The reason he and Sylvanna split up was because he had an affair with another woman.
- After Aphmau and Ein was killed, Michael and Zack's conversation concerning the two led a large amount of people to believe that Aphmau and Ein were half-siblings. In a comment on a 2021 video that reintroduced Zack, Jess stated that "Zack isn't Ein’s dad, that was a red herring from MS that we didn't have time to resolve."
- In January 2025, Michaela Laws went on the part 3 MyStreet S1 Re-Watch stream hosted Evildoerz (Andy) to further explain the context of the relation between Zack, Sylvanna, and Ein, recalling a conversation she had with Jess. Zack did not cheat on Sylvanna, Ein was not his biological son and he only helped raise him. Sylvanna assumed Zack was cheating on her and had another kid, when in reality Zack never cared about Sylvanna enough to explain what he was doing.[2]
