Garroth[]
Zenix’s mentor. Garroth discovered Zenix, young and badly injured and saved him. He helped raise Zenix and took him in as his apprentice. Zenix pledged his loyalty to him. Garroth shows several times his love for his apprentice after his betrayal, even stating he saw Zenix as a son, looking over his keepsakes, asking multiple times about him, and going into a depression as he held onto the memory of Zenix, felt entirely responsible for Zenix's actions. He did not believe Zenix would willingly betray. Laurance confirmed that Zenix lost control with his power and could only watch his body move on its own, possibly as he betrayed and attempted to kill Garroth the first time. Laurance manages to convince Aphmau and Garroth that Zenix did not care at all for Garroth or Phoenix Drop. Zenix made mention of Garroth in his betrayal speech, implying that possibly he did not want Garroth to die protecting a Lord who he perceived didn't care for Garroth. He never got to see Garroth again after his last attack on Phoenix Drop, and Garroth was convinced to eventually give up and forget about him.
Aphmau[]
Being one of the first people Aphmau had ever met, Zenix became friends with her. Garroth emphasized that Zenix considers Aphmau the new Lord of Phoenix Drop. Before his betrayal, he has shown kindness and concern for Aphmau. When she tried to enter the cell where Zenix was keeping Lord Burt prisoner, Zenix apologized, "I'm sorry, Lady Aphmau." before attempting to kill her. After this, Zenix had no qualms with manipulating and attempting to kidnap her again.
Brendan[]
Brendan considered Zenix and him great friends. He brought Brendan back to the village after he was shot by Vylad's poisoned arrow and swore to take down the perpetrator. Brendan admits that he doesn't think Zenix was good at all as he recovered, but much later, he thinks of Zenix more fondly before his betrayal and is genuinely devastated over it.
Zenix and Laurance, allies in the Nether.
Laurance[]
As a fellow Shadow Knight and had never met each other, Laurance showed little to no sympathy for Zenix's situation and Garroth's woes, despite the irony of himself ending up down the same path. Laurance promised to kill Zenix if Garroth wasn't strong enough in the case that Aphmau was in danger again.
In season 3, Zenix and Laurance had teamed up and began their own Rebellion faction against Gene and Shad. Despite their shared goals, they fight and argue with each other a lot. Zenix seems to be playful and snarky, while Laurance is much more serious.
Gene[]
They utterly despise each other, and Gene regrets allowing Zenix to keep his human memories.
In season 3, Zenix finally gets to attack Gene.
Vylad[]
Zenix absolutely distastes Vylad and they attempt to kill each other a few times. Vylad, for some unknown reason, appears and takes Zenix's body before Aphmau could investigate. Fifteen years later, Vylad escapes his imprisonment in the Nether when Zenix began his Shadow Knight massacre. Vylad avoids talking about Zenix when asked.

Garroth[]
Zenix and Garroth act a lot more like brothers, with mostly Zenix constantly teasing and taunting Garroth's apparent crush on Aphmau. Zenix does respect Garroth a lot as his mentor, obeying his orders, although he offers advice sometimes when he does not believe in Garroth's judgement.
Aphmau[]
Zenix initially does not trust Aphmau in the slightest, constantly suggesting that she's a traitorous woman and acting in bad faith. Aphmau compliments Zenix, saying he does a great job protecting the village. That makes Zenix's opinion of her completely change, causing him to blush and go flustered and then offered to help train her.
